Only a matter of time now as the DVD's will be hitting shops in withing the next 1 or 2 weeks. Concrete Poets would like to say thank you to everyone that turned up to the London premier. It was packed! Also, sorry to all those who couldnt actually get down stairs due to the amount of people. The video is being sent off for duplication this week so it should be in shops early/mid October. Those of you who cant wait that long to see it or missed the prem, Slam exclusively have the only copy in London and if you ask Rob or Will nicely they might put it on downstairs for you.

Nag Nag Nag, thats all everyone does, "update the website man". Chill yeah, I been busy filming trying to finish off the burden on my life called Writer's Block. Its damned harder than you think to wrap up a vid but even more so due to the fact that the weather thinks its November time. Everyday we go out to film the bang bang enders, the bloody heavens open up like a nice big de-lam. So, today we thought right its raining, fuckit lets have some fun at greenwhich banks (click above).

In other news, Shaun Currie is now a local celebrity in Sheffield and apparently is being now employed to introduce videos (see the story website for his latest appearance). John and Greg both have completely blown out ankles, lucky for them both their parts have been wrapped up for months. Get well soon guys in order to party it up at the premier after party.

Anyone wondering when the video will actually be out (yeah i know we said Agust but people lie) I don't know, its done when its done. But hopefully if you check back soon you will see details of a premier in the new look Slam City Skates Shop very soon.

Tripped up to mk for the day yesterday but for some reason tigns just didnt seem to be working for me, forgot my wallet, forgot my lunch, forgot to charge the batteries, and generally just forgot my common sense I think. Never mind, Potter aka the Mayor or MK was on hand to show us how it should be done.

Rain all day saturday and rain sunday morning, Typically the sun came out at the time when i had scheduled the shoot for the title sequence and dvd cover , so when we should have been out getting hammers we were actualy prancing around, pouting like pansies in front of the lens... so whats the difference? you may ask!

Also Writer's Block is being released in association with Slam City Skates and we thank them for their continuing support in backing the video. Due to duplication and priting processes the video will not actually hit shops until August but at least that gives you ample time to save up the amazingly worth it £5 price tag it will have.

Update!!! - Shocking I Know!

Sorry guys, been so busy lately there has been no time for updates and relatively no offcut footy to show you as were only going for the choice cuts these days as were wrapping up the video. Mid July is the final deadline so check back here for more news on a Premier here in London and also a possible screening in Sheffield too. Our half Japanese 16 yearold with obviously no steez or talent, Jin Shimizu has finaly finished his exams and discovered his skateboard again! So heres a completly un stylish clip of him skating one of those trendy moving units blocks you might trip over on your way to by Zoo Weekly.

If you turn to page 28 of this months new doco magazine you will be shocked to read that some imposter called Jim Shimizu has taken Jin's spot on the Adidas team, and also stolen his identiy, as anyone from London will recognise that it is infact Jin's 16 yearold face looking back at them on that page. I could be over reacting, It could just be a typo, although they've made it twice! Anyways anyone who checks back here regularly already knew Jin was on adidas but what probably didnt know is that he has actually fallen over once in a while! albiet very rarely. For those of you like me who finds salvation in knowing that he is human, you will enjoy watching these two bail clips above. Whats almost more funny is how my reaction to each bail is exactly the same every time.

Monday 23rd April

On Friday Night we bid our Goodbyes to Brett who has had to return to Boston. Brett has been a definate at SB for the last 4 months and has been busy getting footage for Writer's Block as our American Ambassador for CP. Check out Brett along with Blueprint's Kevin Coakley and a host of mad tech heads in the Boston Scene video "City People 2 - Boston Creme" and look forward to Brett's (and everyones) parts in Writer's Block which is nearing completion.

From our new American Aly, to our Swedish ones... Myself and Mr Faruso will be heading over to Stockholm for a week at the end of the month to gather some last minute footage for WB and sort out Robin and Per's parts. We will try and put up some blog style photos whilst we are there, and with Farusocam on the trip, you know there gonna be good.

Myself, Yapski, Howsey and Greg(ski?) are off up north to Sheffield this weekend to see long lost poet and professional loud mouth Shuan Curry to get him upto date on the latest London slang and inform him whether wearing your nike cap inside out is cool or uncool again this week. Howsey had a good weekend, racking up a few good bits of footy. However I sent him home early to practice his pushing.

If your a London head then you will have probably seen French Steph around. He's over here for the winter (what a joker), and on a typically icy evening killed the steep hip at the new LB plaza. But while I'm on the subject, lests be honest its a skatepark, not a plaza.

If rumours be correct then Mr Shaun Curry, to whom the updates this week have been dedicated, will be returning home for a weekend with some other northen heads. Which may mean that Shaun Curry Week is extended to a fortnight if he gets some good clips. Why all the fuss over this joker? I hear you say. Well, in the words of Greg's Myspace... Today Howsey, the lucky get, is off to Paris for a few days with James Gardener and filmer Niall so hopefully he will come back with some fresh looking footage for his WB part. While there out there, seen as its Shaun Curry Week, I wonder if they will bump into Shauns french cousin Le Shuan.

Due to popular demand I will be making a concerted effort to post more Shaun "exported to sheffield" Curry footage on this site. Shaun phoned me last night, ses hes gonna have a few tricks in the Story Video friends sec. That vids gonna be raw. Right anyway here's the first clip in what im gonna dub Shaun Curry Week . This clip is almost a year old when shaun fucked his ankle, his rection was so funny me and Faruso didn't belive him at first. In the end we did and i had to give the fucker a piggy back accross London Bridge to Guys Hospital where we entertained the nursing staff by showing them the footage over and over. I then had to carry him on to the northern line and take him all the way to Edgeware. I live in Lewisham, the otherside of London so Shaun when you read this tell your friends up north how nice I am.

A good productive weekend with most people getting bits of footage, both Jin and Greg getting some raw lines and I got to play on my new toy. Cheers Fos, the Land Cruiser is amazing. Ok so its looking better, updates coming weekly now. I'll try get em more frequent when my schedule gets less hectic. Anyways filming as usual on the weekend except my cam decided to fuck up 3 tapes. I've been working on my showreel which involved filming some non skateboarding footage. Check out this extended edit I did primarily for jokes and to show the guys I filmed.

Thursday 11th January

Uh oh, a whole month with no updates. Sorry Bruv. Aint my fault though, I been mad busy and have been having a lot of technical difficulties due to me being broke. Anyways that isn't important. THIS is important. It is now official that CP's own light footed steez machine Jin Shimizu is officially on flow for Landscape. Everyone at CP wanna say how stoked we are for Jin and that we all knew this would happen eventually, but prehaps not as quick as it did. Check out the Landscape website for a gem of a little line but whilst watching it imagine how good his footage is gonna be in Writer's Block.

Writer's Block.... amazingly enough is about 2 thirds of the way finished and we hope to have it out and in your sweaty hands by Easter. Tell your mum and dad to shuv that in your easter basket.

Howsey and Jin are both currently going about shooting their first lights, omens etc so keep your eyes peeled to all skateboard literature being published in the coming months.

In other news MC Faruso, the artist formerly known as Faris, is back in action after half a year of being out with another fucked ankle. Those rip curl shoes dont pay for themselves! Anyways lets all say well done Greg for coming through so me and him can finaly get a flat next to south bank, stoked.

John however is choosing a diffrent path and joining the fucking marines! Mate we talked you out of it once, we'll do it again. reason number one for you not to join the marines is to make sure you dont turn out like this.

Monday 18th September

Man what a week end, Me and Howsey went to t'north of England this weekend with Science skateboards on a little mini tour type thing, intending to go to Sheffield. The funny thing is we never made it there... a third of the way up the M1 and the "Milton Keynes Next Exit" sign was too tempted so we made a pit stop that lasted most of the day. For some reason we then drove to Leeds and stayed in someones backgarden in tents, Cheers to Ben Blake of Thrid Foot for hooking that up. Next day was spent skating the relatively unseen spots of near by Wakefield where everyone killed it, appart from me as I fucked me knee 5 minutes in at MK and had my skateboard stolen when I werent looking and doidnt realise for another 2 hours! Anyways the trip was sick but the 4 hour journey home on the motorway werent as much. But fuck it mad fun was had by all, cheers to Morph for coming along to film the trip and to give general accent enhanced jokes to us all, I should be putting together a lil tour edit and trust the footage is sick bruv. Big ups to Boss Man Morgan for organising it and watch out for that edit in a week or so.

Sad to say Shuan's left London as of yesterday, it's very quiet without him around and I can't say I like it. His parents are dragging him up to sheffield to live for reasons unbeknown to anyone. Dont worry, he'll still be able to get some filming done in the school holidays and some weekends in the winter...we hope. Greg sent me this pic the other day, much to my dismay. Apparently his career in skating has naturaly led directly into hip hop - check this ridiculousness.

With no camera to film with I been skating a lot more which is bloddy wonderful. Chris Morgan (Science Skateboards Mastermind) was on hand to get this back 180 nosegrind photo, stoked! Also, Mudchute skatepark is sooo fun, so unique and with great flow, one of the best council parks round these ends. Maybe a bit of footy from there soon.

Monday 21st August

A grim day for Concrete Poets, Today I [Henry] had my camera jacked whilst filming in Hackney. 4 yutes tried to snatch it from my hamds but I wouldnt let go, as a result I got decked 4 times in the face and rushed to the ground where I still wouldn't let go of it for another few minutes till eventualy the dickheads prized it away from me and breezed out. The fucking police put me on hold for 10 minutes till I could report it, by the time they showed up the boys were long gone even though I was able to follow them in my car til they slipped through an estate onto the canal walkway. Fucking 5.0 didnt do shit cept report it and drive around for a bit.

The good news is, man like me aint dumb and that shits insured, so I'll be getting a new rig someitme in the next few weeks/months (hopefully not months). Until then, filmings postponed for Writer's Block, although fellow Londoner and filmer of the "Reflections" scene vid, Guy Burleton will most likely be helping out with a few bits of footage here and there when he can.
